The company was formed in 2004 in response to the very successful theatre course "Changing Stages" (an introduction to modern British theatre) funded by The Milton Keynes Community Foundation. The course touched a real chord with many people who wished to study contemporary theatre and perform plays with smaller casts in an intimate setting. The group also wished to meet regularly on a weekly basis to explore theatre and develop skills.
